CBD INFO
CBD (Cannabidiol) is a naturally occurring compound found in the hemp plant. It does not cause a “high” effect and can offer relief from many conditions. We source our CBD isolate only from hemp with a purity of 99.7% or higher as required by law according to the Farm Act of 2014.
Unlike marijuana, hemp contains extremely low (less than 0.3%) THC. THC is the compound in marijuana that is psychoactive. Though CBD from marijuana is legal in many states, we choose to source our CBDs only from organic hemp farmers in the USA so we can sell our CBD products legally.
The legality of Cannabidiol from hemp is based on a 2004 unanimous ruling by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, which determined that the DEA “cannot regulate naturally-occurring THC not contained within or derived from marijuana, i.e., non-psychoactive hemp is not included in Schedule I. The DEA has no authority to regulate drugs that are not scheduled..”
Safety is another reason we care so much about our CBD sources. There are many CBD products on the market that aren't tested for purity or can often contain harmful contaminates. China is one of the largest manufacturers of hemp in the world, but have loose regulations about extracting CBD or how hemp is grown. The CBD market contains a lot of impure CBD containing harmful pesticides or chemicals used in rope manufacturing.
