ABOUT OUR COLD BREW – OLD FASHIONED MOCKTAIL
As we spread our wings, trying new adventures, the Old Fashioned Mocktail or shall we say, Cold Brew Old Fashioned, is little more than a Cold Brew, seasoned and sweetened. Our Mocktail has comes with its suave simplicity, the drink remains as relevant today as it was when it first enticed drinkers’ hearts 200 years ago.
One can draw a straight line connecting this drink to the first recorded definition of the cocktail category in general (circa 1806), which calls for spirits, sugar, water and bitters. You could also skip the history lesson and simply make the drink. Do the latter.
Let’s start by using Coffee Method Cold Brew, From there, the mocktail-minded individuals seem to break into two camps: simple syrup or muddled sugar. We prefer simple syrup.
INGREDIENTS IN THE COLD BREW – OLD FASHIONED MOCKTAIL
- 6 – 8 dashes of old fashioned aromatic or orange bitters
- 3/4 oz of simple syrup
- 4 oz of cold brew
- Ice
- Orange Peel for garnish
HOW TO MAKE THE COLD BREW – OLD FASHIONED MOCKTAIL
Add the simple syrup, bitters and cold brew into glass, and gently stir to combine flavors. Express the oil of an orange peel over the glass, then drop in.
